Precautions for using LCD module

Please note the following when using this LCD panel

1. The manufacturer has the right to change

(1). In case of irresistible factors, the manufacturer has the right to change passive components, including backlight adjustment resistors. (Resistor, capacitor and other passive different suppliers of components will produce different appearances and colors)

(2). The manufacturer has the right to change the PCB/FPC/Back light/Touch Panel... version under irresistible factors (in order to meet the supply stability the manufacturer has the right to modify the version without affecting the electrical characteristics and external dimensions. )

 

2. Installation precautions

(1). Must use four corners or four sides to install the module

(2). The installation structure should be considered so as not to apply uneven force (such as twisting stress) to the module. The module installation situation should have enough strength so that external forces will not be directly transmitted to the module.

(3). Please stick a transparent protective plate on the surface to protect the polarizer. The transparent protective plate should have sufficient strength to resist external forces.

(4). Radiation structure should be adopted to meet temperature specifications

(5). The acetic acid type and chlorine type materials used for the cover case are not described, because the former generates corrosive gas that corrodes the polarizer at high temperature, and the latter the circuit breaks through an electrochemical reaction.

(6). Do not use glass, tweezers or anything harder than the HB pencil lead to touch, push or wipe the exposed polarizer. Please don't use learn to clean up the dusty clothes. Do not touch the surface of the polarizer with bare hands or greasy cloth.

(7). Wipe off saliva or water droplets as soon as possible. They will cause deformation and discoloration if they contact the polarizer for a long time.

(8). Do not open the case, because the internal circuit does not have enough strength.

 

3. Operation precautions

(1). Spike noise causes circuit misoperation. It should be lower than the following voltage: V = ±200mV (overvoltage and undervoltage)

(2). The reaction time depends on the temperature. (At lower temperatures, it will grow longer.)

(3). Brightness depends on temperature. (At lower temperature, it becomes lower) and at lower temperature, the reaction time (it takes the brightness to stabilize after switching on time) becomes longer.

(4) Be careful of condensation when the temperature changes suddenly. Condensation can damage the polarizer or electrical contacts. After fading, smearing or spots will occur.

(5). When a fixed pattern is displayed for a long time, a residual image may appear.

(6). The module has a high frequency circuit. The system manufacturer shall adequately suppress electromagnetic interference. Grounding and shielding methods can be used to minimize interference can be important.

 

4. Electrostatic discharge control

The module is composed of electronic circuits, and electrostatic discharge can cause damage. The operator must wear an electrostatic bracelet and ground it. Don't touch it directly pins on the interface.

 

5. Preventive measures against strong light exposure

Strong light exposure will cause deterioration of polarizers and color filters.

 

6. Storage considerations

When modules are stored as spare parts for a long time, the following precautions need to be taken.

(1). Store them in a dark place. Do not expose the module to sunlight or fluorescent lights. Keep 5℃ to 35℃ under normal humidity temperature.

(2). The surface of the polarizer should not be in contact with any other objects. It is recommended to pack them when shipping.

 

7. Precautions for handling protective film

(1). When the protective film is torn apart, static electricity will be generated between the film and the polarizer. This should be done by electrical grounding and ion blowing equipment or the person slowly and carefully peeled off.

(2). The protective film will have a small amount of glue attached to the polarizer. Easy to stay on the polarizer. Please tear off the protective film carefully, do not light sheet rubbing.

(3). When the module with the protective film is stored for a long time, after the protective film is torn off, sometimes there is still a very small amount of glue on the polarizer.

 

8. Other matters needing attention

(1). Avoid applying too much impact to the module or making any changes or modifications to the module

(2). Do not leave extra holes on the printed circuit board, modify its shape or replace the parts of the TFT module

(3) Do not disassemble the TFT module

(4). Do not exceed the absolute maximum rating during operation

(5). Do not drop, bend or twist the TFT module

(6). Soldering: I/O terminal only

(7). Storage: Please store in anti-static container packaging and clean environment

(8). Inform the customer: please pay attention to the customer when using the module, do not put any tape on the module parts. Because the tape may be removed it will destroy the functional structure of the parts and cause electrical abnormalities in the module.

If the mechanism is restricted and it is unavoidable to stick tape on the parts, there are the following ways to avoid this abnormal situation:

(8-1) The adhesive force of the application tape should not be greater than the adhesive force of the [3M-600] tape;

(8-2) After applying the tape, there should be no peeling operation;

(8-3) When it is necessary to uncover the tape, it is recommended to use a heating assist method to uncover the tape.
